To access the Course Catalog, you will first need to log into the Genius CE or Enterprise system. After successfully logging in, navigate to the left-hand side of the Dashboard and click on the “Register” option to proceed.
How do I navigate the Course Catalog?
Navigating the Course Catalog offers several functionalities that enhance your experience.
- To begin with, if you ever need to return to your Learner Dashboard, click on the “Dashboard” option located on the left-hand side of the screen. This will take you back to your main Dashboard, where you can manage your courses and other educational resources.
- Secondly, suppose you are looking to enroll in a course. In that case, you have two options: you can either use the search bar situated at the top of the page to input specific course titles or keywords, or you can utilize the filter lists available on the left menu to narrow down your options based on various criteria.
- Categories of Courses – This filter enables you to sort the courses in the Course Catalog by predefined categories assigned by your institution, making it easier to locate classes that align with your interests.
- Dates of Courses – This option allows you to filter courses by specific offering dates set by your institution, ensuring you can find classes that fit your schedule.
- Competencies of Courses – This filter enables you to sort courses by the competencies your institution has designated for each one, helping you select courses that align with your learning objectives.
- Tags of Courses – This feature allows you to filter courses based on tags assigned by your institution, helping you find courses related to specific themes or subjects.
- Delivery Methods of Courses – This filter enables you to distinguish courses based on their delivery methods, such as online, in-person, or hybrid formats, allowing you to choose the mode of learning that best suits your needs.
- Locations of Courses – This filter allows you to organize courses by the physical locations designated by your institution, which is particularly useful for those who prefer face-to-face learning experiences.

Thirdly, if you wish to gain more insight into a specific learning path or course listed in the Course Catalog, you can click on the “More Info” button located at the bottom left corner of the course card. This action will provide you with additional details, such as the applicable price if the course incurs a fee, a description of the course content, and, if it pertains to a Learning Path, a comprehensive list of courses included within that Learning Path.
Lastly, to register for a course or learning path, click the “View Offerings” button located at the bottom right of the course card. From there, select the specific offering you are interested in and click "Enroll". If your institution has enabled shopping carts, the course will be added to your cart. After adding the course to your cart, you can proceed by clicking “Check Out” in the top right corner. If you need to add a payment method, select the one that best suits your needs.
Additionally, if you have a coupon code, be sure to enter it at this stage (note that not all institutions accept coupon codes). After this, click “Make a Payment”. In cases where the course does not require a fee, click “Confirm”. Once you have clicked “Make a Payment” or “Confirm”, the button on the course card should change to indicate that you are now enrolled.
