Accessing your Courses
To begin accessing your courses, navigate to your Learner's Dashboard. Here, you will find a section labeled Active Courses. This section provides a clear overview of your current enrollment status. Each course you are enrolled in is represented by a course card, which serves as a visual indicator of the courses available to you. These cards not only help you identify the courses you are participating in but also offer quick access to their content.
To delve into the materials and resources associated with a particular course, click the "Go to Course" button located at the bottom of each course card. This action will open a new tab or window in your web browser, directing you to the landing page of the selected course. Depending on the course setup, this page may be hosted within your Learning Management System (LMS) or may link to external resources configured for your learning experience.
From your LMS
In addition to accessing your courses through the Learner's Dashboard, you have the option to access them directly from the interface of your LMS. This can be particularly convenient for learners who prefer to navigate through their LMS environment. However, it is essential to note that if your organization offers a combination of onsite, online, and blended learning opportunities, you may not see all of the courses you are registered for within the LMS interface. This limitation can occur due to the varied nature of course delivery methods and their organization within the system.
Rest assured that even if you do not access a course directly from your Learner's Dashboard, Genius CE & Enterprise will still track your progress and display your results. This means you can confidently access your courses through the LMS interface, knowing that both the LMS and the Registration component of your learning experience are synchronized. This synchronization ensures that your learning journey is accurately recorded, regardless of how you access your courses.
About your Live or Onsite Courses
As previously mentioned, your organization may offer live or on-site synchronous courses. In such instances, Genius CE & Enterprise will create a tile in the Active Courses section of your dashboard for these courses, even if there is no direct link to an LMS course site. This feature is designed to keep you informed about all of your active learning engagements, regardless of their format.
Courses conducted live or at physical locations typically rely on Genius CE & Enterprise for storing essential data, such as grades and attendance records. For these types of courses, Genius CE & Enterprise will serve as the primary system of record, maintaining comprehensive information about your progress, performance, and engagement. This centralized record-keeping ensures that you have a reliable overview of your learning achievements and participation in these onsite or live courses.
