Introduction
In the Genius CE & Enterprise platform, a feature exists that allows users to halt enrollments and access to courses and sections temporarily. This temporary measure is referred to as Archiving. When you archive a Course, you are essentially changing its status from Active to inactive. It's important to note that this action does not delete the course or section along with its associated records; instead, it ensures that the course can no longer be enrolled in or accessed through Genius CE & Enterprise.
PLEASE NOTE: This practice is highly recommended to help users avoid the irreversible deletion of course records, configurations, or content. Furthermore, this action can be reversed at any time.
To archive a course or section...
- Begin by selecting the "Courses" dropdown menu and clicking on "Courses".
- Next, you can choose the specific course that you'd like to archive.
- You will notice that the course status indicates whether it is currently labeled as "ACTIVE" or "ARCHIVED".
4. After that, click on "Edit" and change the status from "ACTIVE" to "ARCHIVED".
PLEASE NOTE: It is crucial to understand that archiving a course will not automatically archive its sections. The procedure to archive sections follows the same steps, so make sure to individually archive any sections for which you want to pause enrollments and access.
To search for Archived Courses in bulk...
- Start by selecting the Courses option.
- Then, choose Bulk Actions from the menu.
- Fill in your search criteria by setting the Course Status to "Archived". This will generate a list of all archived courses.
