Learners can be enrolled into Sections in several ways: based on the Learning Paths they’ve been assigned to; using the GUI or Import CSV file to bulk enroll Learners; or by letting users self-register from the registration page.
To enroll a learner into a section from the GUI, users can click on the Learners link in the left-hand menu, then select a learner from the list and then click on “Enroll in a Section” page in the left menu. This will allow the manager or administrator to select the section that the learner should be enrolled in, and click on the “Enroll” button. If the section has a specified start date, it will be automatically selected. The end date will also be automatically selected if the section has a specified duration.
Once you click on the “Enroll” button, the learner will be enrolled in the section and a confirmation email will be sent to the learner. The wording of this email, which can be configured by the administrator, is set in the template AUTO_NEW_COURSE_REGISTRATION, which can be found under Administration->Templates.
