Students Tab in Class+ for Teachers

This guide is specifically designed for users of Genius Class+ who hold the TEACHER role within the Genius Class+ platform. It aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the essential pages found in the Students tab, located in the top menu. It's vital to note that the images included in this guide feature sample data. Therefore, if your Genius Class+ user interface does not precisely match the examples shown, don’t worry; this is perfectly normal! 

ACTIVE STUDENTS TAB

The Active Students tab displays a comprehensive list of all students who are currently marked as ACTIVE and are enrolled in any of the classes taught by the teacher user. This tab is highly customizable, allowing each user to adjust the visible columns to display specific active student data that is relevant to their needs. Each student listed is hyperlinked, providing a quick and efficient way to access their profiles within Genius Class+. Additionally, the ID column is included to represent each student’s unique identification number within the Genius Class+ system, ensuring easy tracking and management of student information.

BULK TRANSCRIPTS TAB

For those looking to distribute transcripts generated by Genius Class+ in bulk, the Bulk Transcripts tab is an invaluable resource. Users can filter students based on specific search criteria to generate the necessary PDFs. After selecting the students for whom transcripts are required, click on the "Get Transcripts PDF" button to initiate the download process directly to your device. It is essential to note that the transcripts provided by Genius Class+ will only include information pertaining to COMPLETED enrollments, ensuring that the data is accurate and relevant.

BULK COACH TAB

Suppose your educational institution assigns coaches or mentors to students to monitor their progress. In that case, the Bulk Coach tab is the ideal place to manage these assignments in bulk. By applying filters based on specific search criteria, educators can generate a list of active students. From this list, coaches can be assigned or removed by using the designated buttons located at the bottom of the student list, streamlining the process of managing student support.

BULK APPLY FLAGS TAB

Flags serve as essential symbols created by administrators to highlight various significant items related to student profiles. These flags can represent a range of designations, such as AIG (Academically or Intellectually Gifted), IEP (Individualized Education Program), ESL (English as a Second Language), BP (Behavioral Plan), and many others, depending on the specific policies of your institution. To efficiently apply these flags to multiple students at once, the Bulk Apply Flags action can be used, enabling educators to add relevant flags to the selected students' profiles quickly.

BULK COMMUNICATIONS TAB

The Bulk Communications tab is a valuable tool for logging communications that occur outside of the Genius Class+ environment and storing them in a student's profile. By filtering and searching through various criteria, teachers can identify students for whom communication needs to be recorded. It is essential to note that this feature does not send out any communications; instead, it simply adds the logged communication to the Communications tab within the Student's profile, ensuring that all interactions are documented accurately.

BULK FORCE PASSWORD RESET TAB

The Bulk Force Password Reset Tab offers teachers a convenient and efficient method to send password reset emails to students using Genius Class+. This reset will specifically change their password for Genius Class+, rather than for the Learning Management System (LMS). However, it is worth noting that the integration allows for different passwords to be maintained across both systems, ensuring that students can access their accounts seamlessly.

BULK UPDATE TAB

The Bulk Update Tab is designed to facilitate the process of updating the grade levels of students enrolled in your classes. This action is particularly relevant at the end of the school year, as it enables the systematic advancement of students to the next grade level. By utilizing search criteria and filters, teachers can efficiently select the appropriate students and update their grade levels, ensuring that all student records are accurate and up-to-date for the upcoming academic year.
