How To Configure Section Start and End Dates
To begin the process of configuring section start and end dates, navigate to the Sections Tab within the Genius platform.
Next, select the specific Section that you wish to configure. This action will allow you to access the details and settings pertinent to that section.
After you have entered the Section Main page, locate and click on the “Edit Information” option found in the left navigation block. This will open up the editing interface where you can make the necessary adjustments.
In this section, you will have the opportunity to modify the behavior of the start and end dates for your selected section. There are two critical considerations that Genius uses to determine how these dates are applied:
- By setting specific Start and End dates, you establish a fixed timeline that will apply uniformly to all participants, meaning that the section will commence and conclude for everyone at the same time.
- Alternatively, if you choose to leave the Start and End dates blank, this option is ideal for rolling enrollments. In this case, Genius will automatically calculate the End date based on the number of weeks defined at the section level, starting from the moment a participant enrolls. This functionality is beneficial for ongoing courses or programs.
